Birthday Wishlist

With my birthday coming up, I've been trying to resist the urge to go shopping for myself. I've been hating my wardrobe lately and realized the other day that it's been *cough*a few years!*cough* since I've actually gone clothes shopping. I'll admit that while I dream of having pretty clothes, I hate having to go shopping. I'm generally picky and nine times out of ten, the one item that I love is conveniently the most expensive item in the store. And with my part time/ freelance job, I never have that much extra spending money.

I'm excited for my birthday this year, because my mom and I are planning a shopping date together. I love going shopping with my mom because she is really good at finding things that I would normally overlook or not think to consider trying on. I've been doing a lot of window shopping online and thought I'd share some of my 'birthday wishlist' favorites.

Back to School

Even though I am no longer a student, I still love the back-to-school theme. When I was a kid the end of summer vacation meant back-to-school shopping with my mom and I loved shopping for new school supplies. To this day, the thought of a brand new spiral notebook, a fresh yellow pencil, or unopened box of markers makes me all giddy. (Is that wierd?)

Anyhoo.. Since Labor Day has come and gone, I thought I'd share with you some of my favorite school-themed items. Enjoy!

I wish I had...

these shoes.

But how do I buy shoes online when I have what they call "wide" feet? I would be so sad to order these and have them not fit.

An Awesome Book

I just ran across this amazing artist and writer, Dallas Clayton. He's just published his first book called, "An Awesome Book," which I immediately pre-ordered. I am very inspired by the youthful whimsy of his work. You can view his book here.

Villainess Soaps

Ok, so I stumbled across this company at NOTCOT.ORG and instantly fell in love. Their branding and package design are absolutely rockin'. Check this shit out!

From Villainess Soaps: “Our catchphrase is “redefining bad.” We’re also taking significant steps to redefine the way skincare is formulated, manufactured and marketed. We love gentle, environmentally conscious, and animal-friendly components as much as anyone. But we’re not interested in helping perpetuate false dichotomies or marketing ploys.”
