Busy As A Bee!
Please excuse my absence here today! I've had quite a busy week. Lots of freelance projects going on right now. I thought I'd share with you a little sneak peek of my latest project for My Own Labels. I've been working on a little photoshoot today for an "Alice in Wonderland" inspired tea party!
I'm going to love going home today and have James ask me, "How was work today?" and I can say, "Well, first I hot-glued googley eyes to some cute gerber daisies and then I made cupcakes!" Not bad for a day's work, I must say :)

I'm loving the work of Sebastiaan Bremer- born in Amsterdam in 1970. His combination of photographs, acrylics and ink is just beautiful. Check out more of his work on his website.

Easter Weekend
I have been so incredibly busy this week, I was up late last night determined to dye some Easter eggs. I wish I had time to do something more crafty/creative with them, but I'm still pretty happy with my bright color eggs. What plans do you have for Easter weekend?
If you're in the Portland area, I will be at the Lewis Garden Fair on Saturday. This will be my first craft show of the year. I've been busy finishing up some brand new products just in time for this show! Come by and support Lewis Elementary and say hello.

I Love the Beach!
Good morning! I hope you all had a nice weekend. I thought I'd share with you some photos from my mini-vacation last week. My boyfriend James and I snuck off to my grandparent's beach cabin in Pacific City, Oregon late last Sunday night. It was so nice to get away for a few days! The sun even came out for us and we spent our first morning sitting at a picnic table outside, sipping champagne cocktails, and enjoying what I like to call a "Breakfast Board." It was amazingly delicious and we soaked up as much sun as possible.
One of our favorite meals to make is a antipasti & charcuterie plate (we love munching on delicious snacky things). We went all out for this "Breakfast Board" which consisted of salami, potatoes, bacon jam, soft cheese, hard-boiled eggs, french bread, dilly beans, cherry tomatoes, olives, and homemade sauerkraut. We also had dijon mustard and ketchup (for the salami and potatoes) and homemade apple butter (for the soft cheese). It was so so good! The bacon jam, dilly beans, and apple butter were all homemade by my friend Lindsay of A Wooden Nest and the sauerkraut was homemade by our friend Mike! Thanks friends!

Crafty Tutorial: How to make a Sit-Upon
Some of you may remember me mentioning I was working on a camp-theme craft tutorial for Artsy Chaos' Camping and Nature Art Event. Well I finished it last weekend and it's up on their blog now!
In case you were wondering what a Sit-upon is exactly, I can tell you making one is a Girl Scout tradition and an essential tool in camping and other outdoor activities. A sit-upon is a homemade waterproof cushion. They are super easy to make and great to have whenever you find yourself needing to sit on the bare ground.
